CARES has been engaged for over three decades as a non profit organization, providing care and support to our participants in the pursuit of quality living, work and vocational experiences within Cheticamp and surrounding areas.
The Board of Directors oversees the operation of an Adult Service Centre (The Green Door) and three group homes (Le Chemoi, La Maison Roderigue and La Résidence Cap Rouge). The leadership team for the day to day operation of the four facilities consists of an Executive Director, Manager of Bookkeeping, four supervisors and an Administrative Assistant.
Every employee and volunteer aspires to be fully transparent, reliable and supportive in our endeavour to provide the best quality of service to our residents and participants. To provide work experiences and residential support to persons with physical and mental health related disabilities. We will enhance each resident/client's potential to live, work and socialize within the community in the least restrictive and most inclusive manner.
